Edward G. Shea, 73, passed away on March 2, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with sarcoidosis. Retired from the Ohio Department of Youth Services, as a Training Supervisor, with a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Binghamton and a MSW from The Ohio State University. United States Army Veteran, and VISTA volunteer fighting to eliminate poverty. Devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Harriet; daughter, Laura (Waad) Abbas; son, Rob (Jessica); grandchildren, Matthew, Nathaniel, Emily, and Rose. Preceded in death by mother, Stella Shea; father, William Shea; brother, Thomas Shea. Ed’s wit, charm, and big heart will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Graveside service, Monday March 5, 2018 at 11am, IJ Morris at Star of David Cemetary of Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Rd., West Palm Beach, Florida 33412.
