in Brooklyn, New York February 4, 1928, Eddie was the oldest of 12 siblings. He spent his childhood in Brooklyn and enlisted in the military at an early age. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Eddie married Carmen in 1956 and together they raised four children.
Eddie owned a restaurant in Brooklyn where his children would keep him company while he ran the business. From his generosity in feeding many of the homeless in the area, his children learned the importance of kindness to others. In 1978, Eddie moved his family to West Palm Beach and began a lifelong career in sales. Over his lifetime, his outgoing personality served him well. He sold anything and everything ranging from life insurance to gourmet foods. In his later years he was well known by many of the chefs in the best restaurants and country clubs in the area. Eddie loved sports and played softball competitively into his 60s. Even thereafter, he remained physically active and always social. He enjoyed going out to eat and talking to friends and acquaintances over coffee at Starbuck’s. Eddie is survived by his four children, David (Michelle), Peter, Christopher and Juliana Blanc (Peter), his eight grandchildren and former wife, Carmen Michael. Also surviving is his 2 sisters, Theresa Polizzi and Delores Tayoun and 4 brothers, Joseph, George, Gabriel and William Michael and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Eddie taught his children the importance of respect and kindness and treated everyone who came through his door like family. He would want us to be sure to thank his caretaker, Rose as well as Tom and the terrific staff at the V.A. Hospital.
