He is survived by his wife, Betty Anne “Bebe” Warren; three daughters, Leigh Singerman (Scott) of Wethersfield, CT, Julie W. Criser of North Palm Beach, FL; and Amy Hutcherson (Bill) of St. Augustine, FL; eight grandchildren, Katie, Kyle, and Logan Singerman, Megan and Ashley Criser, and Olivia, Rachel, and Zack Hutcherson; and one great granddaughter, Colbie Rose Steward.
Born in Miami, FL, Dr. Warren grew up in Lakeland, FL. He later attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA; was a graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine; and completed his cardiology fellowship at Emory University. In 1956, Dr. Warren and his wife Bebe moved to West Palm Beach to establish his medical practice and raise a family. In addition to being a dedicated physician, he was also a community leader having served as the founding Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Palm Beach Atlantic University; the founding President of the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties; one of the founders of the Palm Beach Chapter of the American Heart Association; and a member of many other Boards and Committees. Dr. Warren was a humble recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for his distinguished service to our greater community.
A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, 1101 South Flagler Dr., West Palm Beach, FL, with Rev. Jack Graham,officiating. The family will receive friends in fellowship during a reception at the Church immediately following the Service. The interment at Woodlawn Cemetery will be held privately.
