Clifton Monds Barefoot age 71 of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on July 25, 2012 with the Angels at his side, ready to lead him to his new home in Heaven. Clifton began his earthly journey on November 8, 1940 in Dunn, North Carolina to his late mother, Verle Gertrude (nee Clifton) Barefoot and his late father, Carlton Monds Barefoot. Clifton moved to the West Palm Beach area in 1974 coming from his hometown of Dunn, North Carolina. He loved his Lord and Shepherd and regularly attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in West Palm Beach, FL. Clifton also was a founding member ot the West Palm Beach AA and Al-Anon groups, he was instrumental in the formation of these groups. Some of Clifton's hobbies included Camping and his love of the Great Outdoors, working in his gardens, eating North Carolina foods whenever he got to visit his hometown, and spending leisurely time with his family and friends. Clifton was also a collector of various types of Guns, he was a true Gun Enthusiast. He will certainly be missed by all that knew and loved him, but his legacy will live on with those lives that Clifton touched. Clifton leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Bertha A. Barefoot; his three admired sons, Clifton M. Barefoot, Jr. and wife, Lorri of Lake Worth, FL, James Carlton Barefoot and wife, Anna of Lake Worth, FL and Joseph Glenwood Barefoot and wife, Dyane of West Palm Beach, FL; his loved sister, Patsy Hudson and husband, William "Bud" of Dunn, NC; his seven precious grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him. A Celebration of Life Service for Clifton Monds Barefoot will be held on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2341 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415, (561) 965-4311.
