Charles “Flatbush Charlie” Bulmer was born March 14, 1926 and passed away January 1, 2023. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Alda Bulmer, he moved to Florida in the 1950s with his wife Gloria O’Conner.
Charlie was a veteran of World War II, worked 32 years with the USPS, was a member of APWU #749 and American Legion post #47, gave 13 years to the Palm Beach sheriff’s office as a volunteer sergeant and was a fourth degree life member of the Knights of Columbus. Above all, he was a dedicated father who loved good times with his family and friends.
Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria, and his brother Bill. He is survived by his five children, Caren, Michael, Maureen, Kathleen and Patrick, his son-in-law, Brian, and his beloved six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Charles will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Military Honors being rendered at 5 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
