Cecilia Velasco Smith

Cecilia V. Smith daughter of Teresa Rojas de Velasco and Ernesto Velasco Ibarra passed at the age of 88 Thursday, April 6 th. She was born Jan 13th 1935 in Maracay-Aragua Venezuela. She grew up in San Cristobal, Venezuela with her brother and sisters; Olga Velasco, Ernesto Velasco, Mercedes de Fablalah, Ana Teresa de Morales, Cristina de Morales and Rosarido de Marquez. At Loyola University, she met Reeves St Claire Smith in dental school. They were married in 1954. To their union they had two daughters: Maria Smith Baldwin (Richard Baldwin) and Suzanne Smith. Reeves proceeded her in death in 2005. In 2007, she met William (Bill) Tabb and they were married in 2013. They were elated to travel and complete a “bucket list” of places to experience together. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews to celebrate her life. Throughout Cecilia’s life she spread her beautiful light to everyone she met. She was always ready for a good time and improved the mood of everyone she knew. Cecilia had the kindest soul and was beautiful inside and out.

The family welcomes you to celebrate her life Thursday, April 13th from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Quattlebaum Funeral home at 6411 Parker Ave. West Palm Beach, Fl. 33405. Followed by a service at Woodland Cemetery at 1301 S Dixie Hwy. West Palm Beach, Fl 33401 Friday April 14th at 11:00am.
