Barbara Joan Morales passed peacefully on November 15, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving daughter and best friend Staci Morales-Fuchs, son-in-law Jeffrey Fuchs, grandson Jacob Fuchs, and husband of 51 years Jose (Joe) Morales. As well as, her brother Peter Pimentel (Bonnie), and many nieces and nephews. Barbara is predeceased by her parents Deno and Mary Pimentel and her sister Diane Wildmann.
Barbara was born on August 26, 1943 in Mamaroneck, New York but spent most of her life in Palm Beach County, Florida where she moved to at the age of nine. Barbara attended Palm Beach High and graduated from Palm Beach Junior College with an Associate of Science. She started her career as a medical secretary and loved working in the field. She later switched to legal secretary where she worked for over 30 years. Barbara was a true people person and made friends where ever she went. She had a fantastic sense of humor and loved helping people. Whether they needed a new job, legal advice, or a good book recommendation.
Barbara was an amazing person and mother. She and her daughter were very close and did everything together. She made everything fun and was always there for her family. She taught us to laugh and to not take things so seriously. One of Barbara’s favorite sayings was “EASY is a good four-letter word.” She loved traveling with her family especially to the Keys and New York City to see Broadway shows. She enjoyed reading crime books and historical fiction. Barbara could spend hours hand weeding in her yard and floating in her pool. She especially liked chocolate, Coke, and a good salad. She adored her grandson Jacob, calling him her “guy” and introduced him to old rock and roll, especially her favorite, Elvis. She had a lifetime love of animals especially her dog Cocoa.
Barbara was strong, kind, hilarious and incredibly brave. Her spirit and light will be with us every day. She is loved and will be missed greatly.
Her family will be arranging a celebration of life ceremony after the holidays.
