Angelo is survived by his children, Linda D. Attinelly (Kenneth) of Croton on Hudson, NY, Angelo R. (Rosemary) of Danbury, CT, and Robert J. D’Uva (Wendy) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; grandchildren, Jessica J. Redmond (Kevin) of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Stephanie A. Tengeres (Andrew) of Monroe, CT, Michelle D. Potts (James) of San Antonio, TX, Angelo (A.J.) D’Uva (Emily) of Jones Creek, TX, Alexis D. Machate (Christopher) of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Samantha R. D’Uva of West Palm Beach, FL, and Brookelyn R. Floyd (Daniel) of Richwood, TX; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hunter and Gavin Redmond, Collin and Skylar Tengeres, Easton D’Uva Hernandez, and Lila and Jensen D’Uva. He was also an adoptive grandfather to Silvia Rossi (Marco Curti), Giovanni Rossi (Marta) of Italy and their children.
Angelo was born on August 10, 1930 in Ossining, NY. He is predeceased by his devoted wife of 61 years, Barbara D’Uva (nee Plain) who died on May 31, 2018 and parents, Carmine and Nancy (Annunziata) D’Uva. He married Barbara in 1957 while the proprietor of Pircio Cleaners. Angelo and Barbara lived in Ossining raising three children until 1980. They then moved to West Palm Beach, FL and successfully continued in the dry cleaning business, owning Angelo’s Jack Sheehan’s Cleaners. Angelo continued to work and drive at the age of 91, and was known to be a constant presence (Mr. “D”) at the Cleaners. He was dedicated to knowing each and every customer and treating those that came in contact with him as if they were family. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Especially Chris Bailey who looked up to him.
Angelo was an Ex-Forman and 61 year life member of Washington Hook and Ladder, Ossining Fire Department. He was a member of the armed forces from 1953-1956.
A Visitation and service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, located at 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach FL from 5:00pm- 8:30pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Angelo’s life. An additional burial will be held the following week in Ossining, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington H&L Co.
