Alma "Suggie" Bentley Hendrix

Alma M. Bentley Hendrix was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, on March 27, 1938 to the late Hansel and Allie Mae Bentley who preceded her in death. Alma's husband, Attice Hendrix, preceded her in death.

Alma had a tremendous Love for Christ, attending church throughout her life. Alma was a faithful member of Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, under the leadership of her brother, Pastor James E. Bentley, where she attended and served faithfully until her illness.

Alma was educated in Palm Beach County Schools and was employed with M & M

Cafeteria and Mama Gilda's, for several years. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for 27 years until she retired. Several years later, Alma went on to something she was most passionate about; babysitting children for many years.

Our beloved "Suggie" was a pillar of support, a constant source of love and guidance for all of her family and friends. Her doors were always open, her heart was always full of love, and she had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and cherished.

Suggie had a heart as big as her kitchen table, always keeping her doors open, a light of warmth where anyone could find a plate piled high with love and a smile that could fill the hungriest stomach. Her home wasn't just a house, it was a "Haven of Hospitality, where a meal wasn't just food,

it was a hug from the inside out. Her home and welcoming nature were always accessible to anyone needing a meal.

Alma passed away leaving precious memories with her family and friends. Survivors to mourn her passing are her sister, Al Josie Walker, and her brother, Pastor James E. Bentley (Glenice), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Suggie will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church, 506 15th St, West Palm Beach, FL 33432. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 506 15th St, West Palm Beach, FL 33432. A committal service will occur Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 5601 Greenwood Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
