Gone But Not Forgotten. Forever In Our ♥️ 

Sincerest condolences to the family of "Danny" Alfred Nelson.  Danny had a great personality and made friends easily.  He enjoyed the camaraderie , and fitted in well with all the parishioners of Grace Episcopal Church.  We will miss you Danny, your participation as a member of the Choir,  Dominoes, Dancing, Telling Jokes, people watching as others enjoyed the many activities of the Church, and eating.  We will miss you Danny, but know you are called to a greater mission in heaven.  May your soul rest in Peace in the arms of our dear Lord and Savior.  May the Lord provide solace and comfort to your family at this time .

Uncle Danny was a very nice, fun family man. He and Aunty Bibby were always ready to entertain and have a laugh.  I first met  Uncle Danny when he would come to Hartford with his Jamaican Social Club from D.C,  He and aunty Bibby would visit Hartford,  and stayed with us during a long weekend.  I  remember being responsible for dropping  him off at the Caribbean club, where he joined his D.C.,  team,  to play in the domino tournament.   Later on, he and Aunty Bibby would attend the  dance with my parents.  They had a blast.  Shorty after,  I spent  summers in Lanham, and there was never a dull moment.  Uncle Danny always had parties to attend,  We travelled to Delaware and D.C., where I met new family and friends.  Later on, we would meet up in Canada where Aunty Bibby did trips to Caribana,  I soon started my own trip from CT.  While in Canada, we met up with family,  where  we  all congregated and had a grand time playing dominoes,  and partying the weekends away. Uncle Danny was fun to be around.  Always had a corny joke or two, but out of respect we would laugh.  Not to mention our long talks on current events and politics. Uncle Danny shared similar political view and it was a pleasure talking to him.  Both he and Aunty Bibby were  always  pleasure to be around.  As with Aunty Bibby, Uncle Danny will be sadly missed, may they both  RIP.
 

A happy great grandfather with his great-granddaughter Abigail at his 83rd Birthday dinner. Rest In Peace to an amazing, wise, jovial, kind and animated spirit. We're so grateful to God that he blessed us with being a part of his beautiful life, so that we now have these wonderful memories to last our own lifetime. My grandfather will forever be in our hearts.

I first met my uncle when my dad..the late Arthur Nelson,   was terminally ill in Jamaica. My dad was his older brother and friend... I say friend because not all brothers are friends!! Uncle Dan and aunt Bibby came to my dad's bedside and  supported, comforted and advised the family. He made such an impression on me ; that I later came to America and stayed with the family until I was grounded and could fend for myself.

I already miss our chats and our sing-a-longs. What will we do without you?!

My condolences to the family. Danny had a  wonderful tenor voice and he was a dedicated member of  our church choirs. He loved his church ,  if he was not present on Sunday we all would be making inquiries as to his absence. Danny loved dancing and dominoes. Farewell my church brother,  you will be missed. 



Uncle Dan was my husband’s brother and I have known Uncle Dan for 64 years.  He has been a hardworking man and has been a caring husband to his dear wife Aunt Bibby and was also a caring brother in law.

As the writer says “Does Jesus care when our heart is pained too deeply for mirth or song?  As the burden stress and the cares distress and the day grows weary and long.  Does Jesus care?  Oh yes He cares, I know He cares because Jesus’s heart is touched with our grief when the days are weary and long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares.  

So as it has pleased our Heavenly Father to call Uncle Dan home, we will miss him, we will miss him very much but may his soul rest in peace.

Saddened to hear of our dear Uncle Dan’s passing however you are in a better place now.  

I will miss you, your funny stories and your words of wisdom.  I will miss your smile and the twinkle in your eye.  

I will forever hold on to our fond memories when you would visit mum, dad and me in Jamaica and then our trips to Maryland and Florida to see you.  Praying for comfort for the immediate family xx

There are many great and wonderful times spent together growing up close to the father. Some of these times were of comfort, joy, along with the life learning curves and teaching moments giving guidance into the future. 

Try to remember he was always there the warm sweater when you needed him for answers. His favorite chair where he would sit quietly waiting for your questions.  What would he want you to do in his place? Today, you know how he would bring a warm spirit and warm up the place. So you do the same and put on the warm sweater and give counseling to the growing family of generations to come. 

Brother Alfred Daniel Nelson gave himself to the family and in the family he lives. He will always stay warm in your hearts when you think of him.

We are saddened  by his passing.
It was a pleasure knowing him, he was always the life of any gathering  and we will miss him very much.

Gonna miss my domino  buddy.  Always smiling, and love a good joke.  RIP my dear friend.  Peace and blessings to the family. 

They say memories are golden that’s true.In life we love you dearly in death we love you still.In our hearts you hold a place no one can fill.But as God call us one by one our soul is at rest.Rest In peace my dear friend.

My dear friend, Christian brother and more than all my domino partner  was called through this gate on Tuesday 9th, leaving us sad and broken. But our Heavenly Father knew that was best for him. I know he has joined forces with Bebe once again and together they are making joyful music. I have fond memories from the domino tables where we spend so much time together. My brother you will be sorely missed, dominoes will never be the same again.
