Kathleen Maria Kennedy

It is with sadness that the family announces that Kathleen has passed away at Scarborough General Hospital on Sunday, December 8, 2013 in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stu of 55 years, and her parents Cecil and Lucy. Much loved mother and fierce protector of Patrick, Michael, Maureen (John), John, Tim (Lorraine), and Kelly (John). Loving Grandmother and Champion of Krysti-Lyn, Connor, Carly, Fergus, Owen and Serena. Proud eldest sister of Jim and Mildred. Smiling sister-in-law and Aunt to many others and a friend of all.

Kathleen was born in Toronto, grew up in Muskoka and later returned to Toronto in the 50’s to find Stu, whom she fell in love with at first sight. Always active in the church, they raised their family in Scarborough and summered in Port Sandfield, Muskoka.

Family and Friends may call at Giffen-Mack Scarborough Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill, Ontario (416) 281-6800, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial to be held in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3216 Lawrence Ave. E. (east of McCowan Rd.) on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10:30 am. Private Cremation. In lieu of flowers, with the kind heart of Kathleen, please look around your life; give a hand up to someone in need. Mom your faith in God was your anchor, so you prayed every day for your family, your friends and in fact for everyone. We will all continue those prayers in the spirit of the love you bestowed on each of us. You are too strong to ever disappear.
