Kari Marie Csath, 39 – It is with the greatest sadness we announce the passing of our much loved, Kari Marie Csath (née Woodley) on the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024. Mere hours before a scheduled caesarean section, Kari passed suddenly due to a uterine rupture. We regret to say that on this same morning, her beautiful baby boy, Barrett William Forrester Csath was born sleeping. Barrett was the deeply treasured and longed for third son of Kari and Frank Csath IV and anxiously awaited baby brother of Frank Emeric V (Emery), age 3 and Pius, age 1.5.
Born April 14, 1985, Kari was a beloved daughter of Gary (Nancy) and Rose (Arthur) Woodley. She will be sorrowfully missed by her twin sister Kathleen (Phil), faithful eldest sister Kelly (Michael), and brothers Kirk (Erienne) and Kole (Rachel).
As a child, Kari was fiercely independent and rose to take on challenges with a cool casualness. She carried this independence into her short adulthood, learning how to fearlessly navigate new cities, working as a cherished nanny to several families, and stopping at nothing to accomplish her goals. Kari was loyal and quick to defend those she cared for. She loved with deep, fervent, and unwavering conviction. She had a beautiful smile and eyes that twinkled with mischief.
Kari married Frank on August 5, 2022. Together they shared many new adventures, and he enriched her life in so many ways. After just two short years of marriage, she leaves behind her husband and ever adoring children, Emery and Pius. It is with great certainty that we can say Kari thrived as a mother. Having loved children from an early age, motherhood brought out the best in Kari.
Kari adored her nieces and nephews. Aunt Kari will be fondly remembered as the most avid cheerleader, constant friend, and biggest supporter of Elsa, Laelia and Eleanor, Everett and Vivienne, and Titus, Ezra and Joanna.
It is with love and adoration that Kari will be remembered by her father- and mother-in-law Frank III and Patrice Csath and their children, Natalie, Julia, and Maximillian.
Kari was predeceased by her loving grandparents Norman and Shirley English (affectionately remembered as Grammin and Gramps), and dear Uncle Bert.
Kari boldly loved the Lord. Not a day passed where she was not singing or listening to music that reflected her deeply rooted faith in Christ. We pray she has found peace in being reunited with those gone before her and are hopeful she will watch over those she has left behind.
We will forever long for more time with you, our dearest Kari. Until we meet again.
Visitation services for Kari and Barrett will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre located at 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E 2S2, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm.
The funeral service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church located at 3216 Lawrence Ave East, Scarborough, ON M1H 1A4, on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11am. Interment to follow at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery at 7770 Steeles Ave East, Markham, ON L6B 1A8. Reception following interment will be held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery reception hall.
