Gone but not forgotten. I miss you very much  Baehr Sensei.  I know how much you loved being at our Karate Christmas party at the Vedic Cultural Centre, Markham. The students all missed you very much.

I met Sensei Baehr in the early 70s & then at many other Karate events & seminars in Canada, USA & Okinawa.  He was a good friend & a great mentor as well as source of information & advice.  He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Frank was always a pleasure to work with. I learned a lot from his knowledge of electronics and wisdom of life experiences he would share. He was always there and always eager to assist with the many projects that go on in the work place. One of the best things about Frank was his sense of humor. He would always find funny jokes online and email them out to his co-workers. I've always had a lot of respect for Frank and he is dearly missed.

What a privilege I have had over the years in sharing various times with your family! Although I never had connections with Frank through karate, my Japanese roots could see and identify in him, the same wonderful traits of respect, dedication and loyalty to family. It was always a delight to hear his stories, his quiet sense of humour and to experience his amazing gentle connections with us all from BH! What a loving, remarkable, and  devoted man he was!  We will truly miss him!  Thinking of you all with much love and prayers!

Mit getrübtem Herzen haben wir erfahren, dass ein großartiger Mensch von uns gegangen ist. 
Frank baute vor etwa 12 Jahren den Kontakt zu mir und meiner Familie auf, da wir auch Teil seiner Familie sind. Wir sind sehr dankbar dafür und auch, dass wir die Gelegenheit bekamen ihn und seine wunderbare Familie kennenlernen zu dürfen. In der Hoffnung, dass auch weiterhin dieses Band bestehen bleibt, welches er zu knüpfen begann, nehmen wir Abschied von ihm und werden ihn immer in bester Erinnerung behalten.
Unser Mitgefühl gilt seiner Familie und seinen Freunden, hier bei uns in Deutschland und in der ganzen Welt.

Dear Baehr family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Frank's passing. While we had not spoken in many years, I had hoped we would reconnect at some point. I am deeply indebted to him for sharing of his knowledge and providing me counsel on various subjects.  I will never forget the kindness and hospitality shown me when I visited to train with Frank. I will truly miss him; I'll do my best to keep his memory alive by sharing his teachings when and where I can.

Mit großer Betroffenheit haben meine Familie und ich davon gehört, dass Frank nun von uns gegangen ist. 
Unser Mitgefühl gilt allen Freunden von Frank und im Besonderen seiner Familie.

Some of our fondest memories with Uncle Frank. 
It was always a treat to go for a ride to the Toronto Zoo in his VW camper van. Although it was a short drive it was always fun. 
We enjoyed playing with the Lego and watching his trains run that he had set up in the basement of their first house. It was like playing with a big kid. 
He always had cheesy jokes and the best stories(when you could understand what he was saying)
He will be greatly missed. 
Jeff wanted me to add that although he didn’t really get to spend much time with Frank he enjoyed his stories and adventures that were shared.

Sensei Baehr, my mentor, friend and intellectual sparring partner, I have learnt so many things from you over the past 30 years. You have shown me the true beauty of the Martial Arts, how to achieve balance and harmony in life, how to be completely absorbed into whatever I think or do, that it was a way of centering into my self.  Sensei taught me how to be gentle yet strong, how to be adaptable to any circumstance or life situation.  One of the greatest lessons Sensei Baehr taught me was to dissolve the ego, the greatest adversary in our lives. It is the only way we must practice Karate-Do. Dear Sensei Beaher family,

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we feel both the giant loss of this great man & also celebrate his life!  It was always a pleasure when Sensei Beahr taught, as he  provided valuable history,  spoke humbly of his vast karate experiences & wealth of knowledge. 
He was a dedicated karate artist and a gentle soul. Well loved & sorely missed.

To the Baehr Family, please accept my sincere condolence as you mourn the loss of your dear husband and father, know that we share in the pain of your loss. He was an incredible man, full of wisdom, integrity, talent and passion. He shared with all, his deep love and knowledge of karate without reservation. We are deeply saddened by his passing and he will be greatly missed by so many. Rest in peace Baehr Sensei - Domo Arigato Gozaimashita, it was an honour to be in your presence.

I had the privilege of working with Frank for more than 10 years.  He was a man with a wealth of knowledge and skill in electrical/electronic engineering and seemed to own a substantial selection of gadgets and tools.  He was also a natural teacher and taught me a lot over the years.  He loved to share about everything from technical knowledge to martial arts and loved to share little tidbits of wisdom like “common sense isn’t common”.  I’m sorry to hear of his passing and wish to express my deepest condolences to his family.  Frank will be missed.

Frank was such a unique person. When he first showed me his collection of Swiss army knives you could just see the happiness in his face and how much he loved to share his new utility knife.
He flash light collection was just as much fun to look at as many other items he carried along.
You will be dearly missed Frank...

PS, How can I forget. Thanks for the wrist move in martial arts.

Rip, to a great person. Thankyou for your patience and help during my years training with you. I learned so much about our karate history and application of techniques etc... My condolences to your family .Please know that he helped many students with his kindness  and patience and willingess to share his knowledge..You will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Baehr family.  Frank will be dearly missed by all.  Very much a father figure to me in many ways, Frank was a top notch mentor and friend.  His wisdom, determination, and dry wit will be missed.  Heaven must have been in need of a Sensei.  They now have one of the best.  I pray that you all find comfort and love from his memory.  To sensei Baehr I say, Domo arigato gozaimashita.  Rest In Peace.
