I have lasting memories of growing up with Carolyn in Finchley (London).  We have been friends since we were about six years old and we shared lots of good times together as children, probably getting up to no good, as children do.  On some of Carolyn's visits back to England we would meet up and laugh together, such a great sense of humour Carolyn had.  
A few years ago you invited David and I and our children, Jane Mark and Jonathan to stay with you when we were on route to other parts of Canada.  You both made us so welcome and we all have fond memories of our time together, the places we visited and your friends we met.  
Our thoughts are with you, Bent, Becky and Jason at this very sad time.  We hope you will always remember the good times you spent together and that these memories together with the support of your family and friends will help you through the days and months ahead.

Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.
Memories of Carolyn go back so many years, over sixty in fact. We first meet as children living opposite in Church Crescent Finchley. England We had so many happy years playing and growing up together. Even when we went our separate ways, we have always kept in touch. Carolyn and Bent you have always been so kind and thoughtful to Mum always taking time out to visit her on your trips to England. I know if she was able to communicate, her thoughts would be with you all. She often used to remember what a wonderful time you gave her when she was persuaded by Carolyn's Mum to make the trip all the way to Canada to stay with you, and what fun she had with you all. She also enjoyed meeting all your wonderful friends. Mum always used to look forward to Carolyn's newsy letters enclosed with Birthday and Christmas Cards. I know Mum has always regarded Carolyn as a very special friend with a great sense of humor.
What an inspiration Carolyn was to everyone who has known her. She will be sadly missed , but definitely not forgotten. 
Bent I hope you will be able to remember all the happy memories you have  and hope these together with all the support from your many friends and family will help you though the time ahead. All our love Stephanie Colin and Mum (Gwen) x

Carolyn was an exceptional caregiver to my boys (Greg & Kevin).  I'm forever indebted to her for the wonderful influence she had on theirs lives.   She was not only a very caring & thoughtful person but also extremely bright and witty.  We had so many great years as neighbours and close friends so we'll you Carolyn.  Our deepest condolences to Bent, Becky & Jason and all the other family members.

Carolyn, we loved you for your kind and understanding nature and your great sense of humour. You were a fantastic woman. You will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever.

back then!  We moved away but I thought of them often.  It is sad that we meet again for this reason

We worked with Carolyn for several years at the Scott Mission Day Care.  We were a close knit team having respect for each other and enjoying each others abilities both at work and our get togethers outside of work.  Then she left us for a guy.  Good choice Carolyn.  Thank you Bent for being a compassionate, loving, faithful husband through the good and the bad.  May God give you, Bent, Becky and Jason peace at this time of sorrow.
