William (Bill) Fitzgerald, 88, died Monday, June 3, at McCarthy Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Milton, MA to the late Frances (McCrann) and William Fitzgerald, he graduated from Milton High school and Northeastern University.
Employed by General Electric for over 30 years at 4 GE facilities throughout the US and was involved in 2 European companies. Retiring in 1998, he moved to Harwich in 1999 where he promptly joined the Cranberry Valley Golf Course.
Survived by wife, Kathleen, sons, John (Nancy) and Robert of Columbus, OH, brothers Donald (Jeannette) of Braintree and Paul of Carmel, CA. Predeceased by brother David of Florida. Also survived by brothers-in-law, George Fahey (Sharon), John Glass and David Booth and many nieces and nephews. Godfather to Donna Zampi and Brian Fahey.
He enjoyed golf, sports, and fishing. He obtained a private pilots license and joined a flyers club at Hanscom Field, Bedford, MA.

Visitation at Doane Beal and Ames funeral home, 260 Main Street, W Harwich MA on Tuesday, June 11 9:00-10:30am. Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, 246 Main Street (Rte. 28) will follow at 11:00am. Burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
