Susan Anne Ryan

Susan Anne Ryan, 72, of Harwich Port, MA died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. The daughter of the late Jerome J. and Gladys (Hewitt) Ryan, she was born and raised in Providence, RI. Susan and her family loved the Cape and summered in South Harwich. After high school Susan attended Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. She received a degree in nursing and immediately began her career at Rhode Island Hospital. A few years later Susan decided to live on the Cape full-time; she settled in Harwich Port and worked at Cape Cod Hospital for several years as an ICU nurse.

Susan was a founding member of the Cape Cod Ski Club. She spent many years skiing throughout the USA, Canada and Europe. She was also an avid tennis player, enjoyed bicycling and sailing. In her later years Susan began golfing.

In addition to her parents, Susan is predeceased by her brother Jerome J. Ryan. She is survived by her brother Dale (and Lynne) Ryan of North Providence, RI and her loving partner of 35 years, Robert Moore. She also leaves behind 6 nephews, 2 nieces and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Saturday, November 10th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Doane, Beal & Ames, 260 Main St., W. Harwich, MA 02671. Funeral services will immediately follow. A committal service will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery 73 Church Street in Cranston, RI on Saturday, November 17th at 11 a.m.
