Shirley Ann Gingras

October 21, 1936-January 4, 2022

Harwich, Massachusetts- Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on January 4, 2022. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing. She was 85 years old.

She was born in Burlington, Vermont to Laura (Boucher) and Ulder McCarthy on October 21, 1936. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Frank and Raymond McCarthy. She is survived by her siblings Richard and Carole McCarthy of Mystic, CT, Pauline Brault of St. Petersburg, FL, Paul McCarthy of Osteen, FL, Douglas and Patricia McCarthy of Harrisville, NH and David McCarthy of Dunedin, FL. She is also survived by five children: Shane and Deborah Gingras, Jay and Debbie Gingras, Kelly and William Fletcher, Aaron and Debrah Gingras and Lori and Wayne Collupy. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of thirteen grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

Shirley enjoyed being with her loved ones, she loved traveling to new and exciting places with family and friends and sharing her passion for trying new cuisine. She was always a gracious host prepared for family and friends to stop by and chat and talk about anything on their minds whenever the need arose.

She was the matriarch of her family, a strong role model, the glue that kept everyone close, and someone everyone loved and cherished. She will be forever remembered, always loved, and will eternally hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday ,January 22, 2022 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Church, 246 Main Street Harwich followed by interment at the Holy Trinity Wall.
