Richard M. Doncaster

Richard was born December 14, 1939 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Thomas Walter Doncaster and Nellie (Nemerowski) Doncaster. He was the oldest of their children; 3- sisters, Barbara Melvin, Nellie Gryzbinski, and Diane Varone.

He began his professional career at the Polaroid Company and went on to work 20 years at Fidelity Investments doing what he loved. Richard was a Trustee of the American Institute of Economic Research (AIER) in Great Barrington, MA. He believed greatly in their financial philosophy and dedicated much of his life to them as a researcher, Trustee, and voting board member.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Ann (Beldekas) Doncaster and leaves behind three children; Lori, (Trip) McCord, Scott, (Rebecca) Doncaster, and Steven, (Joanne) Doncaster, four grandchildren: Michael Rozelle, Austin Rozelle-Murphy, Scott Doncaster, Jr., and Molly Doncaster, and 2 great-grandchildren: Peyton Rozelle and Noah Murphy.

He was a voracious reader, enjoyed travelling, good food, and never turned down a glass of cabernet.

There will be a Memorial Service on September 28, 2024 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich, MA.
