Eileen - Phuong and I just heard about Patrick's passing. We are so sad to hear this. We were looking forward to seeing you folks in the garden this summer.

Eileen ,   Please accept our deepest condolences .  we have considered Patrick not only a close neighbor but also a close friend since he first moved to  Northern ave on a permanent basis.  Through all of his medical challenges, Patrick always had a smile and a positive attitude. Always willing to engage in conversation  or to give advice  Patrick was the Wise sage always on duty at the corner of Hiawatha and Northern, Or the Harwich victory Gardens, or the Port Post office.  
We know How difficult his challenges over the last three years were and how much love and assistance you gave on a daily basis.  Patrick depended on you. and you were his rock.

I was saddened to learn of Uncle Patrick’s recent passing. As I remember him, he was an avid storyteller, enjoyed sharing a belly laugh with friends, and was a voracious reader with an inquisitive mind. 

I have many fond memories of Uncle Pat from my childhood but the one that stands out most right now is a story he shared after my grandmother passed. He said that he dreamed a bird sitting on her gravestone dropped a yellow flower from its beak and flew away upon his approach. Not long after, when he visited her resting place during his waking hours, he found a single yellow flower growing in the spot the it had been dropped by the bird in his dream. He shared that this is how my grandmother was letting us all know that she was at peace and in a better place. My hope is that Eileen, who was the loving tamer of a true rolling stone, find the same comfort knowing that Patrick is at peace and with his parents. 

While it may seem like an insurmountable task to rebuild a bridge across a family divide, the cause of any falling out seems pointless once the chance to do so has been missed. 

Uncle Pat, rest in peace. While we weren’t in touch, you were thought of often by your family. 

Eileen, thank you for the love, comfort, and companionship you offered PH throughout your life together. I am truly sorry for your loss. 


Eileen I was so sad to hear about pats passing  I am so glad we talked last night. Pat was such a nice person   Such a nice photo. I posted a song on face book spirit in the sky for him  and 2 other people who I know who have joined  that next journey. I want to thank you for calling me. I will always remember the two of you strolling through harwich port and onto osjl  together  always seeking me out  and the kale you both grew   So when you look up in the sky think of pat and the song spirit in the sky will be there too. I am here for you anytime just a phone call away.    I am sending you love ve peace and everything will be ok. Just let it play out. Take it one day at a time and do not worry about the little things. Just take care of yourself.  You were blessed by the gods to have had pat in your life. Hold the memories in your heart. Eileen  how sad was I. To hear the news and it was a nice long talk yesterday   I am here for you  so I’m just a phone call away. Pat was a very caring. Man you were so blessed to have him in your life. Rejoice in that  hold all those precious memories in your heart.  I posted a song for him spirit in the sky. So when you look up know he is there  you will be together again. May  you get strength and love from the people around you  keep all those funny memories alive  I will remember him with live  and knowing he is no longer in any pain at all  cry , laugh and  remember  take it one day at a time and keep that kitty close to you.  He would want you to   Don’t worry about stuff !!! There is time for that.  Take care of you  I send you love  peace  and my friendship always. 💔😢. We are strong women.  Everything.
