Mary Ellen English

Mary Ellen English, formerly of Arlington, MA, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, June 3, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Ellen enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. Mary Ellen was an amazing cook and floral designer. Mary Ellen enjoyed creative outlets such as knitting, crocheting, sewing, and canning.

Mary Ellen was born in Cambridge, MA on October 3, 1939 to the late James and Helen Connors. She was also predeceased by her late brothers, James Jr., Robert, and John. Mary Ellen married the love of her life and devoted husband, Henry English, Sr., on January 3, 1959. Mary Ellen is also survived by her four beloved children, Maureen English Valeri of Lowell, Mark English of Sutton, Henry (Hank) English, Jr. and Anne English of Woburn, and Nicole English West of Billerica. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren ( Victoria, Stephen, Derrick, Samuel, Vanessa, Jonathan, Stephanie, Jacob, Hannah, Jason, Jennifer, Maggie, and Brandon) and four great-grandchildren ( Anthony, Ivy, Avery, and Julian).

Visiting hours will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames 260 Main St., W Harwich, MA 02671 on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 8:00am to 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Church 246 Main St, West Harwich, MA 02671 on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
