Teresa was born on January 3, 1964 to Larry and Colleen Breheny. She attended St. Anthony's School, Dowling High School, and Briar Cliff College graduating with a degree in Social Work.
Using her education, passion, and love for people, she dedicated her life to helping others, first at Polk County Victim Services as coordinator of volunteers, then as a stay at home mother. She later worked at the Sacred Heart School library and the West Des Moines library, as well as working with St. Vincent de Paul and many other ministries with Sacred Heart Church.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father and brother, Bob. She is survived by her husband of 31 years Ed; daughters Monica and Maria; son Anthony; mother Colleen Breheny; and sister, Mary Beth Flanagan.
Teresa and her family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, care, and prayers.
