Sue passed away May 14, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines due to complications from Covid19. She was born June 10, 1949 to Jack (Lester) Kimball and Marie L. Morss Kimball. She grew up in the Valley Junction Area of Des Moines, enjoying WDM Girls softball, and ice skating among many other outdoor activities. Sue attended Frisbee Elementary School, Merrill Middle, and was a graduate of Tech High School. Sue worked for Ross Daniels Inc. as a Machinist for over 20 years and was a part of the Machinists Union. She also worked for over 10 years at OfficeMax as a retail worker and Signage Supervisor.
Sue was baptized at West Des Moines Christian Church, and enjoyed attending church with her mother and daughter. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially watching their sports and school presentations. Sue always led with faith and a positive attitude. At her passing she was a resident at Bishop Drumm Nursing Home in Johnston. Sue will be missed by many additional family members, life long friends and neighbors past and present.
Sue is survived by her brother, Paul Kimball and sister-in-law, Linda Kimball; daughter Michelle (Kevin) Greethurst; grandchildren, Garrett, Kilee and Allison; cousin, Camille Seaton; and honorary son and neighbor, Gary Meier. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gary Kimball.
