Shirley Frances Doroty, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Union Park Health Services in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

Shirley was born September 16, 1928 in Des Moines, IA to William and Lillian (Boron) Hunt. She was assistant manager for 25 years at F.W. Woolworth in Des Moines and owned Fran’s Café from 1984-1987 in Abilene, TX. Shirley loved music and enjoyed singing and bowling.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sally (Jack) Rounds of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Dennis) Ireland, Tommy (Shelby) Rounds and Randy (Leslie) Bradshaw all of Des Moines; five great-grandchildren, April Rounds, Lizzie (Micah) Chilcoat, Tommy Lee Rounds, Randy Bradshaw, Jr. and Ashley Bradshaw all of Des Moines; one great-great-grandson, Liam Chilcoat of Des Moines; and four sisters, Lillian Riccelli, Betty Revita, Harletta Blackledge all of Des Moines and June Fine of CA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Hunt; great-grandson, Jackie Rounds; husband, Jasper Doroty; daughter, Diana Bradshaw; and son-in-law, Richard Bradshaw.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
