With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Scott Conrad on November 24, 2024, taken from us too soon at the age of 53.
Born on January 17, 1971, in Dubuque, Iowa, Scott was a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed a fulfilling career at Collins Aerospace for 33 years, but it was his love for the outdoors, his family, friends, and community that truly defined him. Scott cherished time spent with family and friends. He also had a deep appreciation for nature and found in joy hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Scott was passionate about giving back, volunteering his time to support various causes. He had a profound respect for the military, admiring the service and sacrifice for those who serve. Every year, Scott looked forward to ringing the bell for the Salvation Army on Christmas Eve, a tradition he held dear to his heart. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to others made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jodie Conrad; daughter, Amie (Cody) Schurman; stepchildren, Shana (Dean) Plambeck, Beki (Austin) Baier, and Shane (Lizzie) Mosby; grandchildren, Dailey, Collins, Stevie, James, Jason, Gabbie, Calie, Ainsley, Berkley, Henley, Aiden, and Emeline; and his brother, Randy (Lori) Conrad, sisters, Shari (Joe) Scherrman and Bonnie (Ken) Foxen, nieces, nephews and other family members.
