Ruby was born in Hammond, Louisiana on October 9, 1936. She was a lifelong member of The Church of God. She and her husband, Frank Cleaver Sr., lived many places throughout the Midwest and South. The majority of years were here in the Des Moines area where they raised their 6 children. She was the kindest soul you would have ever met, was quick to laugh and loved to listen to gospel music. Ruby loved spending time with her family and especially all of her grand and great-grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was putting together puzzles and it is a favorite memory of many sitting at the big table and helping her put pieces together. Always start with the “outside/edge” pieces!
Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Cleaver Sr.; sons, Frank Jr. and Gary (Karletta); son-in-law, Jesus Albizures (Brenda); and granddaughter, Celeste Reszel.
Ruby is survived by daughters, Jan (Jim) Beam and Brenda Albizures; daughter-in-law, Laurie Cleaver; sons, Paul David Cleaver and Timothy Cleaver (Kathy); 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren; as well as many family and friends throughout Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
