Robert Stacy, 82, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Urbandale United Church of Christ with inurnment at Resthaven Cemetery.

Robert was born in Ames, IA the son of William and Eva (Brown) Stacy. He graduated from Ames High School in 1953 and attended both Iowa State College and the University of Iowa. Robert earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Iowa in 1957 and worked as an accountant for Kemper Insurance for 39 years. He raised his family in Libertyville, IL and lived in Fairfield Glade, TN before coming to Urbandale.

Robert was a member of Urbandale United Church of Christ and the Lions Club. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, playing bridge, gardening, volunteering with tax preparation, was active in United Way, and loved spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosalie; two sons, Mark (Nancy) of Clarendon Hills, IL and Steve (Lisa) of Urbandale; sister, Ann F. Chapman of Mt. Juliet, TN; and five grandchildren, Mark Jr., Andrew, Danielle, Allison and Jennifer.
