Robert (Bob) Kunde, 89, passed peacefully at Mill Pond Senior Living on Sunday, December 10, 2017. A private family memorial service will be held Monday at McLaren’s Chapel with inurnment in Resthaven Mausoleum.
Bob was born November 10, 1928 in Almond, Wisconsin to Henry and Lucia (Spafford) Kunde. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945 at the age of 17 and served for two years. Bob worked in the paper industry as Regional Vice-President of Georgia Pacific, retiring in 1992. He was an avid golfer and Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed travel with his friends and family. Most of all Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob married Marcella Mary Jensen (Marcy) on July 9, 1949 in Rhinelander, WI. Robert was blessed with two daughters, Nancy (Tom) Harper and Kris (Stan) Richard; four grandchildren, Tom and Mike Harper, and Lindsay and Natalie Richard; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jayden, Alia, and Franka; and a sister, Ruth Roisum. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcy; his parents; and a sister, Betty Hanson.
Bob will be remembered for his generosity and his witty sense of humor. Memorial contributions can be made to UnityPoint Hospice Care.
