Robert Paul Brommel, 64, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines with celebration of his life following at 2 p.m.
Robert was born October 19, 1958 in Des Moines to Therese (Fontanini) and Edward Joseph Brommel. He graduated from Martensdale St. Marys in 1977. Robert was a hard worker who loved his family and was always there for everyone. He enjoyed boating, watching his Hawkeyes, spending time fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kelly; two sons, Jason and Tyler Brommel; mother, Therese; sisters, Debbie Brommel, Diane (Mike) Wills, Susanne (Jon) Bunting and Kathrine (Mike) Bonanno; and all his sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward.
