Richard E. Fisher, 85, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Rippey Cemetery in Rippey, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines.
Richard was born November 29, 1930, in Perry, Iowa to Oscar and Ida (Nicholson) Fisher. He married Donna Kinder on December 8, 1950. They spent most of their lives in Des Moines, but had wintered and lived in Alamo, Texas for the last several years. Richard worked for Solar Aircraft from 1952 to 1958 and AMF Western Tool from 1959 until his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his son, David (Chris) Fisher; granddaughter, Kelli Brommel (Jason Mueller); and great-grandchildren, Noah and Emily Mueller. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; daughter, Carol Ann Armstrong; and a son, Bud Jack Fisher.
