Patricia Stanton, 85, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. Casual attire is suggested by the family.
Patricia was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming the daughter of Francis Earl and Alberta Lucille (Hunter) Warner. Her family immediately moved to Albia, Iowa and then to West Des Moines in 1945 where four generations of her family lived on the same street. (9th Street in West Des Moines). She was a 1947 graduate of Valley High School.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Stanton of Ankeny; daughter, Patty (Fred) Thompson of Grimes; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Stanton; brother, Earl Robert Warner; and great-grandson, Rylie G.
A luncheon and visitation gathering will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at McLaren’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Patricia’s family.
