Norma Jean Ginn, 74, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at McLaren’s.
Norma was born August 30, 1939 in Oakland, IA, the daughter of Louie and Elsie Kline. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished time with her three sisters.
Norma is survived by her five sons, Phil (Peggy) Waskel, Danny (Kathy) Waskel, David (Rose Marie) Waskel, Jimmy (Diane) Waskel and John (Liz) Waskel; four stepsons and one stepdaughter, Rob, Rick, Randy, Renee and Rory Ginn; three sisters, Patsy, Janice and Pauline; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ginn.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
