Nancy J. Harvey of Gilbert, Arizona, formally of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away December 14, 2021 while visiting family in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was born January 6, 1952 in Creston, Iowa to Vincent Harvey and Beverly Cunningham (McLaury). She is survived by her parents, sisters Kay Acheson (Keith) of West Des Moines Iowa and Jace Paterson (Jerry) of Mesa, Arizona. Aunts & Uncle Mike & Dorothy Callan, Marilyn Pikala, Sharon Nutting and many loving cousins. Niece Natasha Lynch & daughter Braxtyn, nephews, A.J. Groves and Nick Groves. Also her very special friend Robert Flax, and many other predeceased loving cousins, aunts & uncles and grandparents.
Nancy graduated from St Joseph's Academy. She worked for America West Airlines for several years. After receiving her cosmetology license, Nancy worked at Talking Heads & Planet Hair Salon. She retired to Gilbert, Arizona where she enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful scenery. Nancy was a sweet, kind and loving person & she will be greatly missed.
The Mass to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held on January 8th at 10:30 am with family greeting prior to the mass at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1627 Grand Ave. West Des Moines, Iowa with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall. Masks are recommended during visitation. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Creston Iowa around 2:30 pm. The mass will be live streamed on McLaren's website.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial bench with Nancy’s name or to Sacred Heart church.
