Mike was born on December 22, 1945 in Burt, IA to Wilfred and Iva (Brayton) Woltz. He was married to Ann Mergen in 1975. Mike retired as a Grand Lodge Representative for the IAM&AW Union. Prior to working for the union, Mike worked for Snap-On Tools in Algona. His hobbies included music and computer programming. He was a musician in the band Freedom Road and was inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Jeanetta Simpson and Jane Abbott. He is survived by his wife Ann; children Matthew, Joell, Sue, Mason, Jesse, Amanda, and Joshua; sisters Judy Woltz and Patricia Weber, and many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
