With each passing day memories usually dim and become less painful.  Mike u are the exception, your memory never fades in my mind.  I will always love and miss you.

Gail----I am so sorry for you and your family.  Mike was a great man---a pleasure to be around.  Our daughter Liz knew him from school and her and her friends all loved Mr. Logsdon.  His life was just way too short.

Mr. Logsdon was one of the best teachers I ever had. Such a loving and caring presence whenever you were with him. The handful of times I saw him after I left Greenwood he would always greet me with open arms. He will be greatly missed by many ❤️

Mr Logsdon, as we all knew him, was the most fantastic teacher. All three of our kids —Caroline Meredith and Burke Scott had him as a teacher in 5th grade at Greenwood. He left an indelible impression on each of them. They were always laughing at stories from his class. He made learning fun and going to school each day a joy. When I would see him after they graduated he was always genuinely interested in hearing what they were doing. What a gift he was in our family’s life. Gone way too soon. 😢

Although I did not have Mr. Logsdon as my Greenwood Elementary homeroom teacher, our class would always go to him for science lessons and he would always make it fun and enjoyable. He was such a loving, caring, funny, and wise teacher to his students and to his fellow teachers. I’ll always remember and appreciate the kind person that he was. May he rest in paradise and in peace, cooking all the Italian food he wants. 

Mr.Logsdon was my 5th grade teacher back in 2005. He was one of the best teachers that I had and he supported me when I needed it. He was a teacher who really cared. He will be missed greatly. 

Mr Logsdon was such a genuinely wonderful teacher. He taught my children as well as nieces at Greenwood Elementary. When I was a new parent there he made me feel so welcome. His smile was so inviting. He made you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Mike was always a kind, energetic person to be around. I lived next door to his grandparents. He did a lot of good in this world before having to move on to his next adventure.

Mr. Logsdon, to this day, remains the most wonderful, lively, encouraging teacher and mentor I have ever met. 

I was in his 5th grade class what feels like forever ago, and had the pleasure of running into him at least every few years after to talk more of Italy, our families, school, and life. He motivated me to follow my true passions in regards to schooling, and I feel as though I can never thank him enough for that. 

I can only imagine all of the other souls he touched with his beautiful personality and zest for life. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly and deeply missed.

Mr. Logsdon was an incredible teacher and truly unforgettable — to this day, my siblings and I laugh when we remember his stories, especially the accents he loved to use. I feel so lucky to have been a student of his in 5th grade at Greenwood Elementary, and grateful that he taught my younger brother and sister as well.  He was such a presence and made every day fun, hilarious, and exciting. He was the teacher I loved to go back and visit as I grew up. I'm so glad that I could know and learn from him, and so heartbroken that he's no longer with us. 

He lived a wonderful, full life — I remember all of his loving stories about Gale (one about a trip to New Mexico sticks out in my mind) and his sons. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great man and a fantastic teacher. I hope you take comfort in the fact that he was able to truly impact the lives of so many over the years. I'll never forget the impact he made on mine, and I'm certain I'm not alone in that. 

If there was anyone that could instantly light up a room it would be Mike. You always felt loved when he was around. He was an amazing cook and every reunion I always wanted to know what he brought. The macaroons were my favorite. His sense of humor always brought laughter. I am blessed that I get to call him family and have had so many wonderful memories. My kids went to Greenwood and everyone wanted Mr. Logsdon including mine. My husband had the privilege of working along side Mike and was thankful for all of his knowledge and sense of humor during  the transition. My heart aches for Gail and the boys and all of his amazing siblings and mom Charlene. A good one gone way too soon. You will be missed!!!Love you Mike!!!

I remember Mike through family reunions and always saying hello to him at Greenwood Elementary. He never was without a smile and always seemed so excited to talk to everyone he came across. I will miss his goofy self and macaroons ❤️

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's passing.  Mike and I taught BD together at Hoyt Middle School. Those were some of the best years of  my teaching career. Mike's smile lit up the room and his zany sense of humor was delightful.  We shared many great times and the last time I saw him, we planned to have coffee when he retired. We're still going to do that Mike, just on the other side! RIP buddy. Gayle, you and the boys are in my prayers.  May God hold you close throughout these very difficult times.

Mr. Logsdon was a special teacher. His classroom was always filled with joy, learning, and a lot of laughs. He was someone made every kid feel like they mattered. As a human being he was among the best of us, someone who would always have a smile on his face and know how to put one on others. My condolences to his loving family, he will be truly missed. My deepest sympathies go out to the family. Mike was an amazing man. He had our children in his classes and I volunteered weekly at the school. For three years I sat outside his classroom each week to listen to his wisdom. He had the right balance of compassion and classroom discipline. He was also filled with joy, laughed at the absurdity of things kids would do, and was always great to talk with. He was very special to our family and leaves a widespread legacy by inspiring thousands.

Michael's sudden illness and passing was such a shock to all his family, including myself. Loved this cousin. I wish we had time to comfort you and give back all the laughter and smiles you gave us. You lived your life your own way so understandably you had to do your passing with the same style. You are already missed. My love goes out to all his family. His legacy is far reaching. Love you Michael. 

Mr. Logsdon, just his name brings only sweet and happy memories.  His smile said it all. Mr. Logsdon  taught both of our children, Sam and Alexandra Beatty, and their year with him was a highlight at Windsor School. I often saw him about town and he always remembered my name and asked after the kids. My heart breaks for his family. This has to be devastating to lose him so early.  May  your family be blessed with love and strength. You are in our prayers.

Mr. L was the first teacher I had in the states. Coming from a completely different continent, I was rightfully scared and anxious most of the time. This man would go out of his way to make sure I was ok, comfortable, and that the kids were nice to me. He would always pinch cheeks which always put a smile on my face. He helped me understand what a “book fair” was and assisted me during them. You will never be forgotten Mr. L! May your soul Rest In Peace. Thank you for everything. 

Mr. Logsdon was my 5th Grade teacher at Windsor Elementary and was easily one of my favorites. He had a wonderful sense of humor and encouraged me as a writer! His influence was one of the reasons I became a teacher. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of  Mr. Logsdon. I was one of his students at Windsor Elementary. I have so many wonderful memories from his 5th grade class, including him eating an onion like an apple every day after lunch. :) I will remember him for his kind heart, generosity, and fun personality.  I am grateful that my sister was able to run into him occasionally at Basils so we could keep in touch. He will be greatly missed! 

How great a teacher he was!  So great that he remembers my name after at least 15 years of no contact.  He always seemed so joyful and caring, always listening and genuine.   As Mr. Daggett said, he is in a place of no more pain and suffering.   My condolences and prayers to his family and friends.   

I have many fond memories from the years our children were at Windsor. Mike was always a bright spot, a strong supporter of the PTA and a favorite among students, parents and staff. Years later we were delighted when our daughter, Kelly, told us that Mike was teaching at Greenwood where she ran the Metro Kids program.  Mike always had a smile and a kind word for Kelly. We are better for having known him. Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to Mike's family, friends and all who were touched by and loved this wonderful man. May you feel the loving arms of God around you during this sad time. And may the love and support of family and friends help to sustain you during the difficult times ahead.

Mr. Logsdon was such a wonderful teacher and one of my favorites back in elementary school at Windsor.  He was always smiling and had such a fun way of teaching.  He is going to be missed.  Prayers to the family and all his friends.  

Mr. Logsdon was my favorite teacher at Windsor Elementary! I have great memories of being in his class! I wrote many stories about him and drew pictures of him that year! He let us keep beanie babies (that was the fad that year) on our desks as long as we paid attention. He was always very kind and everyone loved his great smile and charm!

I enjoyed working with Mr. Logsdon at Windsor Elementary.  He always made me laugh and called me Sandra Bullock!  He had the best smile and attitude!!!  Hugs n prayers!

I enjoyed several years  teaching in the room next to mike and our runs to Lamar bakery. . The sad news shocked me I would never have thought that I would have out lived.. My prayers are with the family in this time of of sadness for you but remember He has gone home where there is no pain or suffering.  God Bless 

My heart is broken.  Not much else to say.  To Gayle and boys:  Keep one foot forward and know that Mike is in the place he's looked forward to.  You can always call on us  for support.  To Charlene and family, you have had more than your share in past few years but know that we are there for all of you also.  I will never forget Mike at the farm or Mike/Gayle at our shop.  Glad  you guys got to Italy those times and enjoyed each other.  My world has a big chunk gone out of it with his passing.  At least his suffering is over, and for that we can be grateful.
