Marie A. McKay

Marie A. McKay, 81, went to be with her Lord on February 15, 2018. A private entombment will be Friday, February 23, 2018 at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines. A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Valley Evangelical Free Church in West Des Moines.

Marie was born January 16, 1937 to Charles B. and Helen H. Bittner in Glencoe, PA. She graduated from Berlin High School in Berlin, PA before attending Alleghany General Hospital Nursing School in Pittsburg, PA. She married Dale B. McKay of Herndon, KS in 1957, and moved to Denver, CO. While in Denver she worked as a nurse in the neonatal unit for 25 years.

Marie is survived by her two daughters, Gwen (Charles) Erlam and Tricia McKay; four grandchildren, Alyse Anderson, Garrett Wheeler, Michelle and Heather Erlam; and brother-in-law, Bob Seekamp. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lurene Seekamp.
