Lyle LeRoy McKinney

Lyle LeRoy McKinney, 76, died June 27, 2018. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Timothy’s with burial at Lincoln Cemetery near Granger.

Lyle was a Captain for the West Des Moines Police Department and retired after nearly 30 years of service. He was a coach, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by many.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; children, Jennie McKinney, Mark (Tricia), Matt (Erin), and Mike (Heather); seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters; and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the West Des Moines Benevolent Association or St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
