Kirk McPhee, 46, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with a funeral service following at 5 p.m. at McLaren’s.
Kirk graduated from North High School in Des Moines and lived most of his life in the Des Moines area. He loved football, especially the Miami Dolphins and the Iowa Hawkeyes, and NASCAR racing. Kirk had a passion for traveling. One of his favorite places was Belize. He also loved to cook, BBQ, and smoke meats and was an excellent cook. Kirk will be missed more than words can say by everyone who knew him.
Kirk is survived by his mother, Connie (Chuck) Petrie; sister, Jenna Petrie; children, Kaleb, Samantha, and Kylie McPhee; and many other family members. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
