Julie A. Tracy, 51, passed from this life due to a rare liver disease on December 5, 2014 in Gardner, KS. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines. A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Julie was born February 5, 1963 in Des Moines to Arlo and Rita Hinners. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School, graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 1981 and Northwest Missouri State in 1986 with a degree in business. She most recently worked as a patient care coordinator at Dr. Matheny’s office in Gardner, KS. Julie was generous, caring and loved her family above all else.
She is survived by her three children, Kayla, Amanda and Colin Tracy; parents; two sisters, Christy (Jim) O’Meara and Janelle (Eric) Kitt; brother, Kevin (Kelly) Hinners; one niece and five nephews; and many other relatives. Julie is preceded in death by all her grandparents.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Emergency Family Shelter in Des Moines or the Children and Family Urban Movement.
