Judith A. Ross (Sparks), 81, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of Judith’s life will be held at McLarens Resthaven Chapel on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11 A.M. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor her remarkable life and share their memories.
Judith was born on January 11, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Julius J. Sparks and Ellen E. (Cross). She graduated from East High School in 1962. She went on to marry the love of her life, Charles C. Ross, on November 13, 1965, in Waukee, Iowa. She found great joy in reading, fishing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Torpy and Trisha Ross; granddaughters, Talia Torpy and Taitum Torpy; and her sisters, Carol Carlson and Shirley Beatty.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ross; grandson, Zachary Torpy; sisters, Joyce Sparks and Linda Bloomquist; and her brother, Bob Sparks.
Judith’s warmth, strength, and love will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
