John Michael Voigt

John was born May 30, 1947. John graduated from Roosevelt High School. He was a Drill Sargent in the United States Army and was a reserve policeman for the West Des Moines Police Department. John’s pastimes included golfing, bowling, and watching football and baseball. He especially enjoyed watching the Iowa State Cyclones, Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Cubs.

John is survived by his wife Phyllis Voigt, sister Kay Sorensen (Tom Roa), six children Deborah (Tony) Malone, Patricia (Tony) Davis, Michael Voigt, Nick Marvelli, Brandon Marvelli, and Bambi (Marc) Byers, eighteen grandchildren Jacob, Millie, Katelynn, Victoria, Rebecca, Nicholas Jr, Abby, Lucy, Raymond, Marianna, Aidon, Zach, Kayla, Hunter, Colton, Rylie, Jadyn and Jace and five great grandchildren Daxton, Noah, Natalie, Corbin and Ruby as well as Nieces and Nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Berneice Voigt.
