Jenifer Lynn Ferriss, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 after a fierce battle with cancer. Jenifer was born on August 13, 1960 in Des Moines, IA to Thomas F. Sr. and Betty R. (Meyers) Earixson. She was an avid reader who loved the outdoors, gardening, gnomes, and taking vacations with the grandkids and her best friend, Shelley. Her favorite getaway was to the mountains and her favorite vacation spot was in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She graduated from East High School and received her Associates in Accounting from Des Moines Area Community College as an Honor student. Jenifer spent her working years in finance and payroll. She was an inspiration and will be missed by many.
Jenifer is survived by her daughter, Sara (Bob) Wiles of Ankeny; grandchildren, Hannah Wiles of New York City, Franklin (Jilli) Wiles of Altoona and Alexander Wiles of Ankeny; siblings, Sandra Earixson of Uganda, Patti (Steve) Bertram of Rhodes, MI, and Tom Earixson Jr. of Adel. Additionally, she is survived by Shelley Janson, the best friend a woman could have in this life, along with her family: daughter, Tracy (Charlie) Campbell, and granddaughter, Ashley Nash. She was preceded in death by her parents.
