August 28, 1969 to John and Jessica Chance in Waterloo, Iowa. Jason spent his childhood primarily in West Des Moines. He attained the honor of Eagle Scout which is something he took great pride in. He graduated from Valley High School in 1987 and continued his education at the University of Northern Iowa. Here he received his BA in Accounting and went on to obtain his CPA. He met his wife Annette while at UNI and they were married in June of 1992.
Jason began his career in Houston, Texas working for the accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche. He also had the opportunity to do tax returns for Aramco in Saudi Arabia. He also worked at American Oncology Resources and Integrated Orthopedics Inc. In 1999, he returned to Des Moines, Iowa to help his father with Diamond Oil Co., eventually assuming ownership. Jason grew Diamond Oil Company into a successful business that has touched the lives of so many in the Midwest. This was not an easy task and took his hard work and dedication to become what it is today. It was his father’s dream that one day all of the Chance boys would work under the same roof and Jason made it happen. Jason was a member of the Fellowship Community Church in Norwalk, Iowa. Jason was an avid golfer and pool player, but his most favorite thing to do was to be with his family. He was an outstanding father, spending much of his time supporting his boys, Nick and Zach and watched them excel in many sports including baseball, basketball and golf.
