Jenny and Jodi, your mom was my best friend and my confident, but most of she was my beloved sister, It is so very hard for me to believe that she is not here now, but she has left a wonderful legacy, and that is her two wonderful daughters and grandchild. May you know that I will always be here for you as long as the good Lord allows me to be.  I love you both more than words can say and can only say to you, thank you for being the wonderful young women you are, your mom was so proud of you both.

Jodi and Jen, many years ago your mom and I made a wonderful trip to Colorado to see her brother in the Denver area and I traveled further south to Pueblo.  What wonderful memories of that time.  I so enjoyed hearing about both of you at our "breakfast" at Michaels before I moved to Colorado nine years ago.  She loved you much and was so proud.  I know you will miss her but just remember all of the great times you had with her.

Having worked with Jan for many years at Mercy Alcohol & Drug downtown, and staying in touch when renamed First Step, so many fond memories come to mind. Thoughtful, kind, direct and blunt, I loved her. Jodi- I would see her at times at Hy-Vee and I would ask about you - the smiles came to her as she updated me. As your Preceptor for Internship and eventually Otpt Supervisor, I was always proud to hear of your lasted adventures. You and your family are in my thoughts.....

Mom, where do I start? I love you so much and I'm still numb to the fact that you are never coming home. Who is going to tell me my hair looks nice or its time for a cut? Who is going  make me belly laugh listening to your stories? Who's going to worry about me and remind me to let my feelings out? Who is going to tell me she wished she had girls who cared about fashion and makeup? Who is going to love me as much as a mom loves her children? Your body may be gone but your lovely spirit will always live on in my heart. That's what I will hold on to. I miss you, mom. Could really use your advise right now. I am so sorry to hear about your mom.  She was a great person.  We are aware of what is going on- seems unreal.  I think what you have planned is very nice. We will miss her dearly.  It was god's will.

I am still in disbelief to hear that Jan is no longer with us.  I worked with Jan for a few years at First Step and she was truly an amazing woman.  I loved her sense of humor and would always seek her out when I needed a good laugh.  Even after I left Mercy, we still had a few good laughs together!  The thing I remember most about Jan was the look in her eye when she would talk about Jodi and Jennifer.  How proud she was of you two!  She truly loved you both more than anything on this earth...except for maybe those grandkids!  I hope you are able to find comfort and peace knowing she had such a huge impact on so many people.  I will always remember and cherish the friendship I had with her.  Heaven definitely received an angel!

What a great neighbor Jan was! Lots of energy, and always ready to experience life. I am comforted to know she and Jeff are back together. Love to you both!
