Jack was born on March 28, 1936, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. He worked many jobs over his lifetime to include Super-Value Warehouse, Beaver Valley Cannery, and Ace Air Tool. Jack enjoyed woodworking, junking, and loved all of his dogs dearly. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and was a level 4 member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Susie (Bishop) Rowley, sister Carol Rowley, brother Paul Rowley, and his wife, Kenna.
His wife Janet Woods and her children Marie (Dan) Stein and John Rundberg survive Jack. Also surviving Jack are his children from his marriage to Kenna, Shannon (Tom) Wood, John (Terrie) Rowley, and Clark (David) Rowley; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Jack was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Memorial Mass will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 4 at St. Theresa Catholic Church (1230 Merle Hay Rd.). Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
