Eloise W. Addy, 98 years old, passed away peacefully at Karen Acres Health Care Center on September 27, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 2380 SE 37th Street in Grimes, IA 50111.
Eloise married William (Bill) Addy on October 17, 1937 and had a long and happy marriage for almost 75 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Addy and daughter, Joyce Perdue. Eloise is survived by two children, Bill (Barb) Addy of Colorado Springs, CO and James (Irene) Addy of Windsor Heights; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Eloise spent most of her life as a volunteer teaching the Bible to those interested. She enjoyed horses and when she could no longer ride, she showed miniature horses at the Iowa State Fair and won ribbons for “Longman’s Miniature Horses.” Eloise loved her family, flowers, sewing, writing poetry and talking about God’s Kingdom.
Memorial contributions may be given to Jehovah’s Witnesses or to the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall.
