Donald "Don" Russell Bagley

Don is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lucille Bagley (Des Moines, Iowa), son, Monte (Lynn) Rathbun, daughter, Sheree May (Danny), son, Mark (Becky) Rathbun, sisters-in-law, Jerry Bagley and Willa Bagley, brother-in-law, Henry Ealy , nieces, Sheryl Roberts and Kathy Rhoads, nephew, Bob Bagley , also survived by nine grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews.

Don was a graduate of Drake University in 1951 and worked as a CPA for 24 years with Employers Mutual Company. He was an active member of the Grimes Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over sixty years. Don was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers Charles and Richard and sister Janice.

A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at McLaren's Chapel, 801 - 19th Street in West Des Moines. Don requested memorial donations be sent to Jehovah’s Witnesses Worldwide Work: Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., Attention Treasurer’s Office, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, New York 11201-2483.

Don had a very positive hope for the future based on the scripture found at Revelation 21:3, 4: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
