Diane Harger passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the age of 79. Diane was a proud graduate of Sioux City High, often called the “Castle on the Hill”, and attended Iowa State University. After spending years in the real estate and mortgage business, she retired to an active life of gardening, movies, time with friends, traveling, needlework, and keeping up with her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by sons Michael (Christy) Harger of Urbandale, IA and Jim (Beth) Harger of Greeley, CO, grandchildren, Ryan, Jackie (Mike) Johnson, Ryker, Xander, Michael, and Katie, and great-granddaughter Brooklyn.
Diane is preceded in death by her husband Jim Harger, son Jeffrey, beloved brother Orville Cook and sister-in-law Rose Mary, and younger sister Valerie.
Friends and family are welcome to Diane’s graveside service on March 29th at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, followed by a celebration of life luncheon at Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
