I'll remember you always David, my brother in Christ.  We had many great talks the past 7 or 8 years. Mary Jo and I are standing with you with our thoughts and prayers. We only saw David once or twice a year when he'd come to "kill our bugs", but we always enjoyed long visits when he was finished. He was a genuine man in every respect. His faith was his light and it was always evident. The last time I saw David was at the Drake Observatory for an evening lecture. We did share a love of astronomy. I also remember fondly when he and Fred installed Matt's special tub surround before we moved him home. He was a true friend, full of compassion for others, and as humble a man as you will ever find. May God draw near in your sorrow.

This photo was taken on February 4, 2022 at Hilton Coliseum during an Iowa State Wrestling match. It was my first time hanging out with David and his Family. We went out to dinner after. It was an awesome evening. I know that his loss is heavy on our hearts. We miss his knowing that he is in a better place!

Our family was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Dave had been our number one pest control guy for 16 years(with three different houses!)We had many conversations, with me being a stay at home mom of three kids. He was always so happy, and talkative, and we would always catch up on how our families were. Once over a cheese and cracker tray I had setting out for the kids:) Dave was definitely a family man and so proud of his kids and Rose. My husband is a jokester, and the first time Dave sprayed our house, he told Dave when he left, to tell me to "Stay bug free!". Caught me off guard at first when I walked him to the door, but super funny that it caught on and Dave said that to me every single time he left. Once he forgot, but I received a text 5 minutes later to Stay Bug Free.  He will be missed by the Hinke family. Our prays to you all.

David was so pleased to go back and see Glensheen estate.,
And I was so excited to finally see Glensheen after hearing about it for 3 days, thanks David I really enjoyed the time with family.

I am so sorry to hear about Dave’s passing. I remember that he and Spencer built the most tricked out derby car. The design was incredible. I remember how much my son loved being in Royal Rangers with Dave and Spencer. 

Parties at the Ridgeways was always an anticipated event with lots of great fellowship. 

Dave was a great husband, father, and son. He will be greatly missed.

David was a man of God. He was a dear friend of mine. I could tell him anything that’s what a friend is David loved my little dog her my. Jerky loved him. It seemed like he would make time to play  best 2 out of 3 in in cribbage when it came to spray our house we had lots of fun together I’m gonna I loved him dearly I’ll think of him every time his son Spencer comes to spray our house I know Jesus took him home Wednesday 21st no more pain. I’m glad he got to see his grandchildren. There’s Psalm that says he should live long enough to see his children’s children. I’m so glad he did. Brother in Christ and sister in Christ, Steve and Lyndell Sheets forever in our hearts.

We (in the NW Beaver) neighborhood are going to miss such a wonderful spirit and neighbor.  Countless times we encountered David and Maverick making the rounds to neighbors, either in the golf cart or his pick-up.  David was a wonderful family man and true neighbor in every sense of the word.  We will all miss his smiling face.

One of my absolute favorite memory (there are so many!) I have thinking of Uncle Ridge was when he took me out in the paddle boat at grandma’s pond and we looked for turtles in the lily pads. There was one perching on one, and he carefully grabbed it for me and gave it to me to keep as a pet. I also remember seeing his scar on his thigh and he said it was a shark and that I better not lean over the boat or the shark will get me too! Oh his humorous spirit! I also remember having sleepovers with my cousins around Christmas time, and he would do the best Jimmy Stewart impressions when we watched It’s a Wonderful Life. I loved him so much!

One of my favorite memories with Dad was buying my first car. We drove two hours away to look at a car for sale. It was slightly over my budget and the dealer wouldn’t give me any money for the old car we had planned to trade in. Dad and I sat down and I asked him if we should just go back home and he said “Let me check Craigslist”. Dad loved Craigslist. Sure enough, he found a new listing for the same make and model of car just five minutes away for the exact amount I had saved up. The whole 2 hour and 5 minute drive home we talked and laughed and he just kept saying “It was a God thing”

I am so deeply sorry for your loss.  Your Father was a wonderful person.  He was so kind and helpful whenever I saw him.

I have such a fond memory of him taking time out of his weekend to invite several scouts to his home and educate us on the tools and skills for Carpentry.  I learned so much from him as an Assistant Scout Master.

I wish your family the best in this difficult time.
