Darlene Wilson, 91, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. There will be a private family service and entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Darlene was born in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of James and Zula (Knox) Dalbey. She was a graduate of East High School, met and married Bryce E. Wilson in 1942, and was a lifelong Des Moines resident. Darlene was a homemaker who had a passion for playing golf and oil painting, played the organ and piano, and was a Life Master Bridge player.
She is survived by her son, John (Merry) Wilson of Urbandale; daughter, Bry (Steve) Dallenbach of West Des Moines; three grandchildren, Amanda (Darren) Wood, Josh (April) Wilson and Cory (Jon) Garner; and six great-grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Bryce Wilson and three brothers and sisters.
