Cindy was God's angel on earth! An amazing women, one who cared about everyone. She will be greatly missed!!


(Continued from previous) I am beyond sad to lose this amazing person in my life. She was a best friend even in the years we did not see each other, and we could pick up where we left off in a moment. I am so glad her pain is over and I know exactly where she is. 
Cindy and I saw each other very sporadically for about 25 years and it left a hole in my heart. She also had moved about 30 miles away.  In the last year or so I felt like it was ok for me to stop by every two or three weeks and it was wonderful. Even with her constant pain we were able to laugh a lot, drink coffee, share sandwiches, and during the summer sit on the porch and watch the purple martins. I have purple martins too and they have just returned for the summer. Every time I look at one, I will remember a person sent by God who made this world a better place. I will miss you so much Cindy Woltzes.

Cindy Woltz was so much more than a wife, mother, and sister. She was a person who accepted everyone for who they were and rarely criticized anyone but instead made them feel comfortable and good about themselves. She had a great sense of humor and we spent a lot of time laughing….mostly over seeing the funny side of life. We became almost instant friends around 1981 and spent a lot of time together for many years. Cindy cherished her children and did everything she could to provide a loving happy childhood for them. My children also adored her and one of their favorite memories is a mud slide she made in the yard where no rules applied!  I often told my children I was going to Cindy Woltz’s  and they soon called her Cindy “Woltzes”. Cindy loved animals and provided a home for many pets over the years. One year we went to Florida and she brought back about 5 small lizards we had caught. She put them in a terrarium but sadly, they began to die one by one. When I went back to Florida the next year she sent the one living lizard with me and I released it back in its native habitat. She cherished life. Last fall she was worried that her neighbor across the road had gone on vacation and left her dogs without good care. I drove over there and she was so relieved they were ok. That’s the kind of person she was. 
Cindy also was an amazing artist. This came through in how she decorated her home, how she dressed, and of course the things she created. One of the most beautiful things she did was to sketch old barns which were deteriorating and soon would be gone. Through her talent, they were memorialized. I would bet there are some farm families who would have loved to have a sketch of their barn. I wish I had asked her for one of those sketches, but I have pictures and memories. To be continued

Cindy was a beloved wife and mother and is survived by her husband, Peter; three children, Brian, Mary (Nate) Abner, and David (Jana); six grandchildren; and one brother, Grover (Cindy) Hahn.
